The College of Liberal Arts & Human Sciences encourages students to participate in education abroad programs to enrich their college experience. Students are usually given credit at Virginia Tech for courses taken abroad.

CLAHS Study Abroad Scholarships
The College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences
awards 10-15 scholarships each semester for students
participating in education abroad. Typical scholarships for short-term programs are
$500.00 and for semester-long programs is $1,000.00. The number of
scholarships awarded each semester varies with available funding.
Instructions for Completing the 2009-2010 Education Abroad Scholarship Application:
- Complete the online portion of the application and click "submit" upon completion of the on-line application: https://survey.vt.edu/survey/entry.jsp?id=1256561789138
- Complete the two required essays and coversheet, as explained in the online application.
- Submit your TWO (2) essays, with coversheet, to LaRae Davenport in 238 Wallace Hall by the deadline, 3:00pm on Monday, October 26, 2009. (Late submissions WILL NOT be accepted).
- Students will be notified of decisions by the end of November.
